South Bend Fire Department <br />One (1)Pump,Waterous,S100D/C20,1 Stage,Rr Mt <br />20-24-4200 <br />WATEROUS S100/C20 SINGLE STAGE PUMP <br />AWaterousmodelS100D/C20,singlestage,geardrivencentrifugalpumpforrearmountsplit <br />shaftdriveapplication,shallbedesignedtomounttothechassisframerails.Thegearboxshallbe <br />aWaterousheavydutytransmission.Thepumpcasingshallbeofhigh-tensile,close-grainedgray <br />iron. The pump body shall be a single piece housing. <br />IMPELLER <br />Thebronzeimpellershallbespecificallydesignedforthefireservice.Theimpellershallbe <br />accuratelybalanced,bothmechanicallyandhydraulically,forvibrationfreeoperation.The <br />impellershaftshallbestainlesssteelheat-treatedandpreciselygroundtosizeandsupportedby <br />oil or grease lubricatedball bearings. <br />Thewearringsshallbereplaceable,bronze,reverse-flow,labyrinth-type.Thefirepumpshall <br />havedeepgroveballbearingslocatedoutsidethepumptogiveruggedsupportandproper <br />alignmenttotheimpellershaft.Bearingsshallbeoilorgreaselubricated. Allpumpbearingsshall <br />be completely separatedfrom the water being pumped. <br />REAR PUMP MOUNTING <br />Therearmountfirepumpshallbemountedwithsteelanglesandchannelfromthechassisframe <br />usinggrade8bolts,toboththeframeandpumptopermitremovalofthepumpforservice.The <br />pumpshallbeequipped withboltflangesorVictauliccouplingsonthesuctionanddischargeside <br />of the pump to provide for removal offire pumpwithout disturbing piping. <br />DRIVELINE <br />The installation shall include hollow tube drivelines and universals shall be properly matched to <br />the engine and transmission output torque ratings. <br />One (1)Pump Flow Rtng, Waterous,S100D/C20, 1500GPM, RM <br />20-24-4110 <br />1500 GPM FIRE PUMP SPECIFICATIONS <br />The centrifugal type firepump shall be a Waterous model S100D/C20 rearmounted with a rated <br />capacity of 1500 GPM.
