South Bend Fire Department <br />CommanderChassis <br />TRANSMISSION DRAIN PLUG <br />Thetransmissionshallincludeanoriginalequipmentmanufacturerinstalledmagneticoildrain <br />plug. <br />AUTOMATIC NEUTRAL <br />The transmission shall be providedwith anautomatic neutral.When the parking brake is applied <br />the transmission automatically returns to neutral. <br />One (1)Transmission Fluid -Standard <br />07-01-0500 <br />TRANSMISSION FLUID <br />The transmission shall include two (2) internal oil filters and Allison approved transmission fluid <br />which shall be utilized in the lubrication of the EVS transmission. An electronic oil level sensor <br />shall be included with the readout located in the shift selector. <br />One (1)Transmission GEN V-EPush Button KeyPad <br />07-02-0008 <br />TRANSMISSION SHIFT SELECTOR <br />An Allison GEN V pressure sensitive range selector touch pad shall be provided and located on <br />the tunnel to the right of the driver. <br />The shift selector shall provide an indicator on thedigital display and shall alert the <br />driver/operator whenaspecific maintenancefunction is required. <br />One (1)Transmission ModeProgramming 5thStartup/5thMode <br />07-02-0052 <br />TRANSMISSION MODE PROGRAMMING <br />Thetransmission,uponstart-up,willselectthefifthspeedoperationwithouttheneedtopress <br />the mode button. <br />One (1)Transmission FeatureProgramming I/OPackage198/Pumper <br />07-02-0066 <br />TRANSMISSION PROGRAMMING <br />TheEVSVocationPackageNumber198forthefireserviceforthisapparatusasaPumper.Thispackageshall <br />incorporate an automaticneutral with selector override.
