A highidle switchshallbeprovided,insidethecab,on theinstrumentpanel, that shall <br />automaticallymaintaina preset enginerpm. A switch shall beinstalled,at the cabinstrumentYES/NO <br />panel, for activation/deactivation. <br />The high idleshallbe operationalonly whenthe parking brakeis on andthetruck <br />transmission is in neutral.A greenindicatorlight shall be provided,adjacenttothe switch. <br />Thelight shall illuminatewhen the above conditionsare met. Thelight shall belabeled"OK <br />to Engage HighIdle." <br /> ACCELERATOR CONTROL <br />A floormount acceleratorpedalshallbeinstalledon the floorinfrontof the driver. The <br />pedal shallbe positionedfor comfortwithample space forfire boots andadequate clearance <br />fromthebrakepedalcontrol and other obstructions. <br />YES/NO <br />ENGINE BRAKE <br />An engine brakeisto be installedwith the controlslocated onthe instrument panelwithin <br />easyreach of the driver. <br />YES/NO <br />The driver shall beable to turnthe engine brakesystem on/off and have a high,medium and <br />low setting. <br />The high settingofthebrake applicationshallactivateand worksimultaneouslywiththe <br />variable geometry turbo(VGT) provided on theengine. <br />The enginebrake shall be installedin such amanner that when the enginebrakeis slowing <br />thevehiclethe brakelightsareactivated. <br />The ABS system shall automaticallydisengage the auxiliary braking device, when required. <br />CLUTCH FAN <br />A Hortonfanclutchshallbe provided. Thefanclutch shall be automatic whenthepump <br />transmission is in"Road"position, andfullyengagedin "Pump" position. <br />YES/NO <br />ENGINE AIR INTAKE <br />An airintake with an ember separator. <br />YES/NO <br />EXHAUST SYSTEM <br />The exhaust systemshallbe stainlesssteelfrom theturboto the inletof the selectivecatalytic <br />reduction (SCR) device and shall be 4.00"in diameter.The exhaust systemshallinclude a <br />dieselparticulatefilter(DPF) andan SCR device to meetcurrent EPA standards.An <br />YES/NO <br />insulationwrapshallbe providedonallexhaustpipebetween the turboand SCR to minimize <br />thetransferof heattothecab. The exhaust shallterminatehorizontallyahead ofthe <br />passenger siderear wheels.A tailpipediffusershall beprovidedtoreduce thetemperature of <br />theexhaustasit exits. Heat deflectorshields shall be providedtoisolate chassisand body <br />componentsfromtheheat of the tailpipe diffuser. <br />EXHAUST MODIFICATION <br />The exhaust pipe shall be brought outfrom underthebody ata 90-degreeanglefromthe <br />truck. Thetailpipe shall extendaminimumof 2.00"pastthebody,adaptablefor the <br />YES/NO <br />PlymoventMagnetic Adaptor System. Thediameterofthepipeshallbe 5.00". Thereshall be <br />a clearance of 4.00"completely aroundthepipeonce pasttheside ofthe body.
