JJONES CITY CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IN AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2021 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2021 INCLUDING ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT It is necessary to pass this Ordinance in order to appropriate monies to defray the expenses of several Departments of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana for 2021. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. For the expenses of the Civil City Government, its various Departments, Funds, Commissions, and institutions for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2021, the sums of money stated in the budget summary attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit A (in the form required by South Bend Municipal Code Sec. 2-90) are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart within the funds identified in Section II (the "Funds"), subject to the laws governing the same. The sums herein appropriated shall be deemed to include all expenditures authorized to be made in said year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated or provided by the law. By adoption of and consistent with this Ordinance, the State -mandated Budget Form No. 4 attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit B is hereby approved and adopted with respect to the Funds. SECTION II.
