2.5 NON-CURING SEALANTS <br /> <br />A. Non-curing Butyl Sealant: Non-drying, non-hardening, non-skinning, non- <br />staining, gunable synthetic rubber sealant. <br />B. Butyl Polyisobutylene Sealant: Non-curing, non-drying, solvent release; <br />complying with 809.2 as described in AAMA 800. <br /> <br />2.6 COMPRESSION SEALANTS <br /> <br />A. Compressible Foam Sealant: High-densityopen-cell urethane foam saturated <br />with non-drying water repellent; pre-compressed in rolls or sticks; permanently <br />flexible, mildew resistant and non-staining. <br />1. For vertical above grade applications: <br />a. Select sizes so that the installed sealer is compressed as <br />recommended by the manufacturer to provide a weather-tight <br />seal. <br />b. <br /> <br />2.7 SEALANT BACKERS <br /> <br />A. <br />manufacturer for specific use. <br /> <br />B. Foam tubing joint filler: Flexible, non-absorbent, compressible neoprene, butyl or <br />EPDM foam tubing, unless otherwise restricted by the sealant manufacturer; <br />complying with ASTM D 1056; suitable for exposure to weather for an extended <br />period and subsequent installation of sealant with no further preparation; size <br />and shape as required to provide a weather seal. <br /> <br />2.8 PRODUCTS <br /> <br />A.
