DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />OLIVE ST STATION ROOF REPAIR <br />Project No. 120-028 <br />I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />Work to be performed shall include furnishing all labor, services, materials, insurance, labor <br />and equipment to provide and install the Olive St Station Roof Repair project including, but not <br />limited to, facia and gutter repair, remove clay tile, replace damaged substrate, and replace <br />clay tile, according to the intent of the plans and specifications. The project site is located at the <br />southwest corner of Olive Street and Sample Street in South Bend, Indiana. <br />II.PREVAILING SPECIFICATIONS AND DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS <br />The City of South Bend's PREVAILING SPECIFICATIONS, most recent version, and DESIGN & <br />CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS, most recent version, are to be used on this project. <br />Each Quote provider is specifically instructed to become completely familiar with the most recent <br />version of the PREVAILING SPECIFICATIONS and the DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION <br />STANDARDS prior to submitting a Quote. <br />Wherever the PREVAILING SPECIFICATIONS refer to “State Specifications,” it shall mean the <br />2020 INDOT Standard Specifications for the letting effective after September 1, 2019. <br />These SPECIAL PROVISIONS will list only "Additions" or "Deletions" to the PREVAILING <br />SPECIFICATIONS and are to be used only in conjunction with the PREVAILING <br />SPECIFICATIONS. <br />In the event of conflict between the SPECIAL PROVISIONS and the PREVAILING <br />SPECIFICATIONS, the SPECIAL PROVISIONS will govern. <br />III.TERM "OR EQUAL" <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: None <br />B. Additions: <br />1.Where the term "or equal" is used in these specifications, the Quote provider deviating from <br />specified item shall file with his/her Quote a letter fully explaining and justifying his/her <br />proposed article or equal. The City of South Bend shall be the sole judge in determining if <br />the “or equal” offered meets the specification. <br />IV.TAX EXEMPT <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: None <br />B.
