1
Elicia Feasel
From:Kaley Kubiak <kaleylkubiak@gmail.com>
Sent:Wednesday, August 19, 2020 3:22 PM
To:Elicia Feasel
Cc:Adam Toering; Ross Van Overberghe
Subject:Re: Pictures and Paragraph- Thanks!
Attachments:IMG_4555.jpeg; Screen Shot 2020-08-19 at 3.08.56 PM.png
Hi Elicia,
Thank you so much for the information and all of your work on this application!
1.Attached is the site plan with the brick details and measurements. Sorry about that‐‐ I may have forgotten to send it/
it got buried but here it is! The hand‐drawn was traced over the satellite image so it matches up if oriented correctly. Let
me know if this is acceptable.
2.Here is the link to the specific brick used‐‐‐ https://www.beldenbrick.com/onlinecatalog/brick‐colors/red‐
bricks/00002160/belcrest‐560
3.Here is a link to the specific Royal Building Products siding‐‐‐
https://www.royalbuildingproducts.com/sites/rbp/files/2020‐
01/ep_marketsquare_productbrochure_us_2020.pdf
4.They stated that this would be about the price for both replacement and new wood as needed, considering damage to
the old siding, layers of paint, holes, etc. They stated that this quote would remain about the same/increase for the lp
smartside siding as an alternative. This would be for the siding and the fascia, soffit, as needed. Much of it needs repair
as it is falling down in many areas on the second story.
5.The A&M was for both repair and new where was needed.
6.We are just going to side around the chimney
Hopefully this fulfills the rest of the application requirements but feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!
Thanks again, Elicia! Have a great day!
Kaley Kubiak
On Wed, Aug 19, 2020 at 1:59 PM Elicia Feasel <efeasel@southbendin.gov> wrote:
Hi Kaley –
Update: I met with Legal about the partially retroactive COA and have been authorized to issue the Administrative
Approval based on the Standards and existing circumstances for the vinyl and also for the porch. However, there are a
couple questions we had to complete the COA for the Commission’s paperwork.
In assembling the COA paperwork and after going back through our email exchanges, I don’t find a site plan (per
the checklist on page 3 of the application), please forgive me if I’ve missed it. The need for a site plan is to show
dimensions for the new brick porch in context with the property. Hand drawn on a satellite view from
GoogleMap will work.
In clicking the link for Rose Brick, it doesn’t direct me to the specific brick that has been selected. Please either
send a link to specification or a pdf. Thank you for noting the mortar!
