Here is a picture I found. Note the vertical solider brick at the <br />bottom. We wanted to emulate those components on the <br />house, which we did with our updated brick work. While we <br />were not able to find a picture that contained the original <br />brick porch, I did speak with my grandma and great grandma <br />to confirm again that it did in fact exist. They believe it was <br />changed over to concrete in the late 1970’s/ early 1980’s— <br />around the same time the vinyl siding was installed. We <br />certainly wish we had images of the porch, but we are excited <br />nonetheless at the prospect of recreating a component of the <br />house that closely resembles the original.
