The Registrar or Paying Agent may at any time resign as <br />registrar or paying agent by giving thirty (30) days' written <br />notice to the City and by first -class mail to the registered owners <br />of bonds then outstanding, and such resignation will take effect <br />at the end of such thirty (30) days or upon the earlier appointment <br />of a successor registrar or paying agent, as the case may be, by <br />the City. Such notice to the City may be served personally or be <br />sent by registered mail. The Registrar or Paying Agent may be <br />removed at any time as registrar or paying agent by the City, in <br />which event the City may appoint a successor registrar or paying <br />agent, as the case may be. The City shall notify the registered <br />owners of this bond, if then outstanding, by first -class mail of <br />the removal of the Registrar or Paying Agent. Notices to <br />registered owners of bonds shall be deemed to be given when mailed <br />by first -class mail to the addresses of such registered owners as <br />they appear in the registration books kept by the Registrar. <br />In the manner provided in the Ordinance, (a) without <br />notice to or consent of the owners of the Bonds authorized <br />thereunder, including this Bond, the City may, from time to time <br />and at any time, adopt a supplemental ordinance or ordinances for <br />specified purposes, and (b) the Ordinance and the rights and <br />obligations of the City and the owners of the bonds authorized <br />thereunder, including this bond, may (with certain exceptions as <br />stated in the Ordinance) be modified or amended with the consent <br />of the owners of at least sixty -six and two - thirds percent (66 <br />2/3 %) in aggregate principal amount of such bonds exclusive of any <br />such bonds which may be owned by the City. <br />The bonds authorized and issued pursuant to the <br />Ordinance, including this bond, are subject to defeasance prior to <br />redemption or payment as provided in the Ordinance, and the <br />Registered Owner of this bond, by the acceptance hereof, hereby <br />agrees to all the terms and provisions contained in the Ordinance. <br />The following abbreviations, when used in the inscription <br />on the face of the within Bond, shall be construed as though they <br />were written out in full according to applicable laws or <br />regulations. <br />TEN. COM. as tenants in common <br />TEN. ENT. - as tenants by the entireties <br />JT. TEN. - as joint tenants with right of <br />survivorship and not as tenants in common <br />UNIF. GIFT MIN. ACT - <br />Custodian <br />(Cust) (Minor) <br />under Uniform Gifts to Minors Act <br />-8- <br />(State) <br />
