The Area Plan Commission at <br /> its public hearing on November 17, 1992, took the following action: <br /> Upon a motion by Lee Slavinskas, being seconded by Joseph Serge and unanimously <br /> carried, the proposed ordinance and site development plan of Michiana Community <br /> Hospital to zone from "A" Residential and "B" Residential, "A" Height and Area to <br /> "B" Residential , "A" Height and Area, property located at the northeast corner of <br /> East Jefferson Boulevard and Tuxedo Drive, City of South Bend is sent to the <br /> Common Council with a favorable recommendation as tendered for Phase I, and <br /> subject to a final site development plan for the proposed future additions. This <br /> ordinance will allow for the expansion of the hospital and medical office <br /> building that are already located on the site. In addition, landscaping will be <br /> installed along Jefferson Boulevard between the parking lot and the street. The <br /> proposed expansion should not have a detrimental effect on the surrounding <br /> neighborhood. <br /> PLEASE NOTE that the Ordinance has been amended by the petitioner to show a <br /> zoning classification different than that used for the Common Council 's first <br /> reading.
