Talboom Deputy <br /> Mary Beth Wisniewski Chief Deputy <br /> <br /> <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott made a motion that the minutes of the September 10, 2012 Meeting of the <br />Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Oliver Davis seconded the motion <br />which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />BILL NO. 12-67 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, HONORING <br />LASALLE INTERMEDIATE ACADEMY FOR BEING <br />SELECTED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF <br />EDUCATION AS A NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Oliver Davis made a motion to continue this bill until the October 8, 2012 <br />meeting of the Council. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by a voice <br />vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> <br /> <br />REPORTS OF CITY OFFICES <br /> <br />MAYOR PETE BUTTIGIEG <br /> <br />Mayor Buttigieg advised that this week is Municipal Energy Week. He stated that is one of the <br />areas that our City has really distinguished ourselves. By the innovated and often taxpayer <br />saving approach that our city taking. One thing in particular that he wanted to draw attention to <br />is Wednesday, they are going to do a green ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the small <br />hydro-turbine that was installed near Seitz Park over by the fish ladder. He stated that is going to <br />be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. He encouraged the Council to attend if able. He stated that <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
