Engineer's Services Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. The City of South Bend (Owner) intends to complete the rehabilitation of the Pinhook Water Treatment facility and hereby enters into contract for engineering services with American Structurepoint, Inc. to provide planning, design, and construction administration services to complete this program. The projects include the following major components: 1. Potential replacement of Well 3. 2. Rehabilitation of filter systems including underdrain systems, filter media, hydraulic control, valves, and electric actuators. 3. Rehabilitation or Replacement of High Service Pumps. 4. Instrumentation and Controls Improvements. 5. Backup Power assessment. PART 1— BASIC SERVICES A 1.01 Project Kickoff A. Engineer shall: 1. Conduct an in -person project kickoff meeting with Owner. 2. Participate in facility tour with Owner and operations staff. 3. Prepare and distribute meeting notes capturing Owner goals, deficiencies of existing systems, equipment and layout preferences, operations and maintenance (O&M) considerations, information request, communications protocol and detailed project schedule. 4. Advise Owner of any need for Owner to provide data or services of the types described in Exhibit B which are not part of Engineer's Basic Services. A1.02 Basis ofDesign Memorandum Phase A. Engineer shall: 1. Collect and review Owner -provided information upon receipt.
