DocuSign Envelope ID: 24C873A9-FOOD-4C59-8176-7913603C3AO1 <br />This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 13 pages, referred to in <br />and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer <br />for Professional Services dated March 12, 2019. <br />Engineer's Services <br />Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. <br />Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. <br />The City of South Bend (Owner) intends to complete the rehabilitation of the Pinhook Water Treatment <br />facility and hereby enters into contract for engineering services with American Structurepoint, Inc. to <br />provide planning, design, and construction administration services to complete this program. The projects <br />include the following major components: <br />1. Potential replacement of Well 3. <br />2. Rehabilitation of filter systems including underdrain systems, filter media, hydraulic control, <br />valves, and electric actuators. <br />3. Rehabilitation or Replacement of High Service Pumps. <br />4. Instrumentation and Controls Improvements. <br />5. Backup Power assessment. <br />PART 1— BASIC SERVICES <br />A 1.01 Project Kickoff <br />A. Engineer shall: <br />1. Conduct an in -person project kickoff meeting with Owner. <br />2. Participate in facility tour with Owner and operations staff. <br />3. Prepare and distribute meeting notes capturing Owner goals, deficiencies of existing <br />systems, equipment and layout preferences, operations and maintenance (O&M) <br />considerations, information request, communications protocol and detailed project <br />schedule. <br />4. Advise Owner of any need for Owner to provide data or services of the types described in <br />Exhibit B which are not part of Engineer's Basic Services. <br />A1.02 Basis ofDesign Memorandum Phase <br />A. Engineer shall: <br />1. Collect and review Owner -provided information upon receipt.
