South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - November 17, 2000 <br />3. CLAIMS (CONT.) <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. <br />Kahn and unanimously carried, the Commission <br />approved the Claims submitted November 17, <br />2000, and ordered the checks to be released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Receipt and opening of Bids in connection <br />with Park 19 Acres in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. (Northwest corner of <br />Brick Road and St. Joseph Valley Parkway) <br />Mr. Inks noted that the legal notices were <br />published on October 20 and October 27, 2000 <br />and that there has not been any bids received for <br />the property. <br />b. Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. (Asbestos Survey, Olive <br />Road Property) <br />Mr. Rock stated that the staff attempted to get <br />two proposal for the work to be done, but was <br />only able to get one from Wightman Petrie <br />Environmental, Inc. in the amount of $472.00. <br />He noted that the survey needs to be done as <br />soon as possible because the house will be given <br />to the fire department to use for training <br />purposes. The Indiana Department of <br />Environmental Management requires the survey <br />-3- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CLAIMS <br />SUBMITTED NOVEMBER 17, 2000, AND <br />ORDERED THE CHECKS TO BE RELEASED <br />THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />NO BIDS WERE RECEIVED <br />
