South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting— August 4, 2000 <br />3. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS (Cont.) <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Claims submitted <br />August 04, 2000, and ordered the checks to be <br />released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Commission approval requested for proposal <br />for professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Removal of <br />Dead/Dying Tree at 613 South St.) <br />Mr. Hunt noted that the Redevelopment <br />Commission owns the property at 613 South <br />Street. The South Bend Parks & Recreation <br />Department notified us in writing that a <br />dead/dying tree located at 613 South St. needed <br />to be removed. <br />Mr. Giulioni presented the Commission with <br />estimates from two tree removal companies. The <br />first estimate was from Cannady Tree Service for <br />$550, and the second was from Cruz Tree <br />Service for $450. He recommended that the <br />Commission approve the proposal from Cruz <br />Tree Service for the removal of the tree. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Mr. Caldwell and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposal from Cruz <br />Tree Service for the removal of the dead/dying <br />tree. <br />-3- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CLAIMS <br />SUBMITTED AUGUST 04, 2000, AND ORDERED <br />THE CHECKS TO BE RELEASED <br />THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL <br />FROM CRUZ TREE SERVICE FOR THE <br />REMOVAL OF DEAD/DYING TREE (613 SOUTH <br />ST.) <br />
