South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - May 19, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />Cassandra Moran presented the following <br />staff report to the Commission for its <br />consideration. <br />Cleveland Road Partners L.P. is <br />proposing to construct a speculative tilt <br />wall multi- purpose, multi -tenant <br />industrial building. The building will be <br />constructed in two phases. The first <br />phase of which is 100,000 sf with an <br />additional 56,000 sf of future expansion. <br />The estimated cost of Phase I is <br />$4,400,000 <br />Per the petition, the estimate of <br />employees and salaries as a result of <br />proposed project requested will be <br />determined at the time of lease to the <br />tenant(s). <br />A review of the tax abatements <br />previously granted finds that the <br />Cleveland Road Partners L.P. have been <br />associated with several previous tax <br />abatements. The associated entities are in <br />compliance with the reporting <br />requirements for the previous abatements. <br />The building commissioner has reviewed <br />the petition and finds the property to be <br />properly zoned for the proposed project. <br />A review of the designated South Bend <br />Redevelopment areas finds that the <br />property is located in the Airport <br />Economic Development Area, which is a <br />Tax Incremental Allocation Area; <br />therefore, the petition for real property tax <br />-8- <br />
