South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - May 5, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1754 approving the <br />transfer of real property to the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that this resolution <br />authorizes transfer of a piece of property <br />on Sadie Street from the Redevelopment <br />Commission to the City of South Bend <br />Board of Public Works. Subsequently, <br />the property will be sold to Habitat for <br />Humanity. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded <br />by Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission adopted Resolution No. <br />1754 approving the transfer of real <br />property to the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana. <br />b. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1755 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property at 4404 Nimtz <br />Parkway. (Blackthorn Nimtz <br />Partners L.P. (Haldex Garphyttan <br />Wire) <br />Blackthorn Nimtz Partners L.P. intends <br />to build a 41,600 sf addition. Haldex <br />Garphyttan Wire, manufacturer of spring <br />wire used in the automobile industry, is <br />the lessee. This addition will allow the <br />company to add production and improve <br />overall efficiency.
