Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1747 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 237 <br />Sadie Street in the West Washington - <br />Chapin Development Area. (Habitat <br />for Humanity) <br />Cassandra Moran presented the <br />following staff report to the Commission <br />for its consideration. <br />Habitat for Humanity will construct an <br />affordable, single - family home of <br />approximately 1,100 sf, with a basement <br />on an 80' x 120' lot. Habitat for <br />Humanity uses volunteer labor and <br />donated materials. The estimated value <br />of the project is $60,000. Habitat will <br />sell the house to a qualified low - income <br />family for approximately $40,000, using <br />a no interest loan and mortgage. <br />A review of the tax abatements <br />previously granted finds that Habitat for <br />Humanity has been granted one previous <br />tax abatement. <br />-3- <br />
