Please include the attached Ordinance on the Council agenda for first reading at your <br /> June 22nd Council meeting and set it for public hearing at your July 13th Council meeting. The <br /> petition had public hearing at the June 15th South Bend Plan Commission meeting. The <br /> recommendation of the South Bend Plan Commission will be forwarded to the Office of the City <br /> Clerk. <br /> The petitioner provided the following to describe the proposed project: <br /> Gates Automotive Plans to change their repair and autobody shop into a typical car <br /> dealership. The proposed dealership will maintain automotive repair. The existing Gates building <br /> will remain. All other buildings will be removed.
