South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - December 17, 1999 <br />in the Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area. (Hamilton) <br />Mrs. Kolata submitted the following staff <br />report to the Commission for its <br />consideration: In February 1998, we sent a <br />purchase offer for the Hamilton property <br />located at the southeast corner of <br />Lafayette and Tutt Streets (key numbers <br />18- 3042 -1607, 18- 3042 -1608, 18 -3042- <br />1609 and 18- 3042 - 1610). Since that time <br />we have had discussions with Mr. <br />Hamilton concerning Redevelopment's <br />purchase of this property and Hamilton's <br />purchase from us of the lot at the <br />northeast corner of Franklin and Sample <br />Streets. In spite of lengthy negotiations, <br />we have not been able to come to an <br />agreement with them on this transaction. <br />Because of this, it is the staff <br />recommendation that the Commission <br />withdraw its purchase offer for the <br />property at Tutt and Lafayette Streets. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded <br />by Mr. Faccenda and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission authorized the Director to <br />withdraw the purchase offer for the <br />Hamilton property at the southeast corner <br />of Lafayette and Tutt Streets in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development Area. <br />(Hamilton) <br />r.
