NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />c. continued... <br />The proposed development will be anchored <br />by a proposed 7- Eleven convenience store <br />with gasoline sales and additional adjoining <br />multiple retail /service uses such as <br />restaurant, dry cleaners, insurance office <br />etc. <br />Local contractors will be used for the <br />construction and completion of this site. <br />Apex Properties, Inc. will encourage the <br />main anchor tenant, 7- Eleven, and the other <br />tenants to work with the Urban Enterprise <br />Association and its Zone Resident <br />Employment to place qualified zone <br />residents in jobs. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the second Bid is <br />from Richard L. Best of Best Beef, Inc. in <br />the amount of $33,500. The ten percent <br />performance guaranty was submitted. <br />Mrs. Kolata opened and read the bid. Mr. <br />Best proposes to construct a combination <br />building for a convenience store and an <br />Arby's Roast Beef Restaurant, with an <br />island for gasoline pumps. The building will <br />be 4,900 sf. It will be built of brick and <br />masonry. There will be a canopy over the <br />gasoline island which will be 4,104 sf, built <br />of typical materials used in other gasoline <br />dispensing operations. The total square <br />footage will be 9,004 sf. The total coverage <br />(building site ratio) is 21 percent. <br />
