NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />a. continued... <br />The applicants will not in any manner try <br />to influence South Bend Heritage <br />Foundation to use the funds on any <br />specific parcel or in any specific area. <br />South Bend Heritage Foundation has <br />indicated that it anticipates using the funds <br />received from this application to plan, <br />acquire, relocate, demolish and rehabilitate <br />certain properties, which have historically <br />been classified as difficult to develop. <br />South Bend Heritage Foundation is <br />committed to improving the downtown <br />and its surrounding areas. The applicants <br />look forward to a fruitful working <br />relationship between the two entities to <br />ensure that this application reflects <br />continued forward movement in <br />downtown redevelopment. <br />Mrs. Kolata presented a site plan of the <br />project to the Commission for its <br />consideration. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated the Affidavit of Non - <br />Collusion was not signed or notarized by <br />Kevin Butler, attorney of Richard L. and <br />Karyn L. Best. <br />As part of the bid process, each of the <br />bidders or their designated representative, <br />will appear at the August 20, 1999, <br />Redevelopment Commission meeting to <br />give a presentation on their proposed <br />project. The Commission referred bids to <br />staff for review and preparation of a staff <br />report. <br />-8- <br />
