South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting - June 25, 1999 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />q. continued... <br />Mr. Miller stated that the reasons why <br />he wants the letters on his building <br />25.18" is because driving south on <br />Bendix Drive at 40 to 45 mph, it would <br />be hard to distinguish his building until <br />the point of "reaching" it. He presented <br />a colored drawing of the lettering and <br />sign to the Commission for its <br />consideration. <br />Ms. Schwartz stated that the <br />Redevelopment Commission is not an <br />appeals board and that the City has a <br />Design Review Committee for the Airport <br />Economic Development Area. She also <br />stated that the Redevelopment Commission <br />just received his letter yesterday and has <br />not had a chance to review all issues <br />regarding the height of the lettering. Ms. <br />Schwartz stated that the Commission will <br />have the staff direct Mr. Miller to the <br />appropriate body, which handles an appeal <br />of this nature. <br />r.
