South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting - April 9, 1999 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />c. continued... <br />Using the project cost of $75,000 per <br />house, the taxes generated over the five - <br />year period will be approximately <br />$9,952.70. Taxes abated over the five - <br />year period will be approximately <br />$7,130.29. Taxes still paid with the <br />abatement over the five -year period will <br />be approximately $2,822.41. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, <br />seconded by Mr. Donoho and <br />unanimously carried, the Commission <br />adopted Resolution No. 1677 approving <br />an application for real property tax <br />deduction for property at 301 LaPorte <br />Avenue and 1041, 1043 and 1047 <br />LaSalle Connector in the West <br />Washington- Chapin Development Area. <br />(Housing Development Corporation) <br />d. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1678 to establish a <br />paid position titled intern IV. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the salary <br />resolution, which is adopted each year, <br />has provisions for three levels of <br />interns.
