South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - March 19, 1999 <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that she and Owen Rock <br />met yesterday with John Kennedy from <br />Trammell Crow, who will be working on the <br />Eagle Freight building in the U.S. 31 <br />Industrial Park. The rezoning of the property <br />has been completed, and the secondary plat <br />has been completed and approved. <br />She also stated that the Welsh Oil sign was <br />presented yesterday to the Board of Zoning <br />Appeals for its consideration and was <br />approved. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that Welsh Oil conducted a <br />crane test for its high -rise sign in the U.S. 31 <br />Industrial Park. She stated that she drove <br />around the Corporate Park and on the Toll <br />Road and it appears that the high -rise sign will <br />not disrupt the views from the Corporate Park, <br />Nimtz Parkway or the Blackthorn Golf <br />Course. The variance was approved by the <br />Board of Zoning Appeals yesterday, allowing <br />a 100' pole and a 14' sign for a maximum <br />height of 114'. <br />Owen Rock presented the Blackthorn Bulletin <br />newsletter to the Commission. The newsletter <br />will be sent out every couple of months. <br />Robert Hunt reported that Michael Donoho <br />will replace him on the Blackthorn Golf <br />Course Joint Committee. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the Associates building <br />in the Blackthorn Corporate park opened on <br />March 10, 1999. <br />HAWPDATATOMMSM031999NIN _11- <br />
