South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - February 19, 1999
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
p. continued....
Mr. Eide stated that he feels the
Commission's objective is to get a well
designed building, which is in harmony
with the site and other buildings on the
site.
Mr. Regnery, Architecture Design Group,
presented a drawing of the John Sullivan
project for the Commission's
consideration. He stated that the project
called for open space for open office work
stations, which required a lot of glass. The
project also called for support spaces,
which do not call for a large amount of
glass.
Mr. Regnery presented a drawing of the
project which showed the front view of the
building. He stated that the main gable
form "houses" the open office work
stations. The building is a two -story
building and the first level will be leasable
tenant space. He also presented a drawing
of the back view of the building, which
has a large amount of glass windows
overlooking the wetland area. Mr.
Regnery stated that the "sister" building
compliments the original building in form
and material.
Mrs. Kolata stated that the whole intent of
the Guidelines and Covenants is to set out
the vision for the Blackthorn Corporate
Park. She also stated that the intent was
that the buildings were to be constructed
of masonry and glass.
H: \WPDATA \COMMSN\021999.M1N -33-
