South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - September 18, 1998 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />L Commission approval requested for an <br />extension of the Lease Agreement with <br />Osco Drug Store at 128 South Michigan <br />Street in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that there were <br />discussions with Osco regarding an <br />additional two -year lease at 128 South <br />Michigan Street. However, Osco cannot <br />get the two -year lease approved by the <br />American Stores Real Estate Committee <br />for a couple of months. The Lease <br />Amendment will extend Osco's current <br />lease until the end of November 1998. <br />This will allow Osco enough time to get <br />approval of the two -year lease from the <br />r' American Stores Real Estate Committee. <br />The staff recommends approving the <br />extension of the Lease Agreement. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the extension of the <br />Lease Agreement with Osco Drug Store at <br />128 South Michigan Avenue in the South <br />Bend Central Development Area. <br />g. Commission approval requested for <br />Agreement with NIPSCO for extension <br />of utilities in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that this Agreement is <br />for the extension of utilities in the <br />southeast neighborhood for new housing <br />development in the blocks bounded by <br />Pennsylvania, Wenger, Rush and Marietta <br />HAWPDATATOMMSM091898.MIN -8- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE EXTENSION OF THE <br />LEASE AGREEMENT WITH OSCO DRUG STORE AT <br />128 SOUTH MICHIGAN AVENUE IN THE SOUTH <br />BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />
