NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />d. continued.... <br />Using the estimated renovations cost of <br />$400,000, the taxes generated over the three - <br />year period will be approximately $58,571. <br />Taxes abated over the three -year period will be <br />approximately $39,047. Taxes still paid with <br />the abatement over the three -year period will be <br />approximately $19,524. <br />Shawn Sullivan of the South Bend Brewery <br />stated that the South Bend Brewery has been <br />looking to develop a brewery in a Midwestern <br />city. South Bend was chosen over other cities. <br />The South Bend Brewery will construct a brew <br />pub, which would include a restaurant with on- <br />site site and off -site brewery sales and a micro <br />brewery would also be located on the site. <br />Mrs. Kolata asked Mr. Sullivan in which part of <br />the building would the brewery be located. <br />Mr. Sullivan stated that the brewery would be <br />located on the corner of Madison Street and <br />Niles Avenue with entrances on both Niles <br />Avenue and Madison Street. <br />Mrs. Kolata asked Mr. Sullivan if the South <br />Bend Brewery would be on one floor. <br />Mr. Sullivan stated that it would be located on <br />the first floor. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission adopted Resolution No. 1633 <br />approving an application for real property <br />tax deduction for property at 336 N. Niles <br />Avenue in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area.
