NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />f. continued.... <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the space that has <br />been occupied by Michiana Arts and <br />Science Council needs to be appraised. <br />Three proposals were received. The first <br />proposal received was from R.E. <br />McCloskey in the amount of $3,000. The <br />second proposal received was from Baer <br />Barkley in the amount of $875.00 for a <br />lease rate survey (the cost comparison <br />approach), which is what Redevelopment <br />needs. The third proposal received was <br />from R.E. Pitts and Associates in the <br />amount of $850.00. The staff recommends <br />accepting the proposal from Baer Barkley <br />in the amount of $875.00 and the proposal <br />from R.E. Pitts and Associates in the <br />amount of 850.00. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted the proposals from <br />Baer Barkley in the amount of $875.00 <br />and R.E. Pitts and Associates in the <br />amount of $850.00 for appraisal services <br />for property located in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />g. Commission approval requested for <br />proposals for appraisal services for <br />property located in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that five residential <br />properties, a number of multi - family <br />properties and seven vacant lots located in <br />the Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />H: \WPDATA \C0MMSN\061998.MIN _10- <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSALS FROM <br />BAER BARKLEY IN THE AMOUNT OF $875.00 AND <br />R.E.
