NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />g. continued... <br />Mr. Riggs requested that the Limited <br />Liability and Arbitration sections of the <br />proposal be stricken. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted the proposal, as <br />amended, in the amount of $4,700 from <br />J.F. New & Associates, Inc. for <br />professional services in the Blackthorn <br />Golf Course in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. <br />h. Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for appraisal services in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />Amy Tweeten explained that the <br />Commission approved one of two <br />appraisals at the April 3, 1998, meeting <br />related to the Leighton Plaza retail space. <br />The staff tried to get more appraisals, but <br />the appraisers could not meet the time <br />schedule that was needed. One appraisal <br />was received which was for a higher fee <br />than the appraisal that was rejected at the <br />April 3, 1998, meeting. <br />She also commented that she didn't <br />believe the appraiser who submitted the <br />proposal that was rejected at the April 3, <br />1998, meeting could meet the schedule <br />that is needed. Ms. Schwartz directed Ms. <br />Tweeten to go back to the appraiser whose <br />proposal was rejected at the April 3, 1998, <br />meeting to find out if he could do the work <br />grel <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL, AS <br />AMENDED, IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,700 FROM J.F. <br />NEW & ASSOCIATES, INC.
