NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />c. continued.... <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded <br />by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission adopted Resolution <br />No. 1578 approving an application for real <br />property tax deduction for property located <br />in the Airport Economic Development <br />Area. (Michiana Industrial Supply) <br />d. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1579 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(Kovas Door Company) <br />Nancy Van Scoyk gave the staff report on <br />this project. <br />The proposed project is a 10,000 sf <br />commercial building to be used as the <br />principal operations for Kovas Door <br />Company, a full -time overhead door <br />company. The building is to be <br />constructed on a 1.65 acre parcel. The <br />total project cost is expected to exceed <br />$300,000. This facility will consolidate <br />other business operations for Kovas into a <br />modern efficient building. Kovas Door <br />Company is a full- service overhead door <br />company and its operations include sales, <br />distribution, installation, servicing, <br />preparation, alteration, fabrication and <br />repairs. <br />Per the petition, it is estimated that this <br />project will create two (2) new permanent <br />-15- <br />COMMISSION ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 1578 <br />APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR REAL <br />PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION FOR PROPERTY <br />LOCATED IN THE AIRPORT ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA.
