ABS (antilock brake system) <br />MIL (engine emissions system malfunction indicator lamp) (where applicable) <br />SRS (supplemental restraint system) fault (where applicable) <br />DEF (low diesel exhaust fluid level) <br />The following red telltale lamps shall be present: <br />Warning (stop sign symbol) <br />Seat belt <br />Parking brake <br />Stop engine <br />Rack down <br />The following green telltale lamps shall be provided: <br />Left turn <br />Right turn <br />Battery on <br />The following blue telltale lamp shall be provided: <br />High beam <br />ALARMS <br />Audible steady tone warning alarm: A steady audible tone alarm shall be provided whenever <br />a warning message is present. <br />Audible pulsing tone caution alarm: A pulsing audible tone alarm (chime/chirp) shall be <br />provided whenever a caution message is present without a warning message being present. <br />Alarm silence: Any active audible alarm shall be able to be silenced. For improved safety, <br />silenced audible alarms shall intermittently chirp every 30 seconds until the alarm condition <br />no longer exists. The intermittent chirp shall act as a reminder to the operator that a caution <br />or warning condition still exists. Any new warning or caution condition shall enable the <br />steady or pulsing tones respectively. <br />INDICATOR LAMP AND ALARM PROVE -OUT <br />Telltale indicators and alarms shall perform prove -out at initial power -up to ensure proper <br />performance. <br />CONTROL SWITCHES <br />For ease of use, the following controls shall be provided immediately adjacent to the cab <br />instrument panel within easy reach of the driver. <br />Emergency master switch. <br />Headlight / Parking light switch: A three (3)-position maintained rocker switch shall be <br />provided. The first switch position shall deactivate all parking lights and the headlights. The <br />second switch position shall activate the parking lights. The third switch position shall <br />35 <br />
