REGULAR MEETING May 26, 2020 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met virtually in the Microsoft Teams App on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 7:03 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Council President Tim Scott and the Invocation (Pastor Canneth Lee, Kingdom Christian Cneter Church) was given. City Clerk Dawn M. Jones announced, Good evening members of the public. White made a motion for the minutes of the March 23rd, 2020, April 13th, 2020, April 27th, 2020, and May 11th, 2020 meetings of the South Bend Common Council to be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Sharon L. McBride seconded the motion which carried by a roll call vote of nine (9) ayes. SPECIAL BUSINESS Mayor James Mueller, Mayor of the City of South Bend with offices located on the 14th floor of the County-City Building, South Bend, IN, presented to the Common Council on updates related to the COVID-19 Pandemic and its effect on the South Bend Community. He addressed the current statistics of cases, tests and deaths, as well as best practices moving forward. Council Members had the opportunity to ask questions about the Mayor's report. Informal discussion was had between Council Members and the Mayor(the full video of the interaction is available in the City Clerk's Office).
