Annual Organization Meeting - January 2, 1998 <br />Completion of Robertson's apartments <br />containing 92 units. <br />Construction of the first five condominiums at <br />Corby/Niles began in mid -year. The total <br />project is planned for 15 units. <br />Entered into an agreement with SBCC <br />Development Inc. for renovation of the Center <br />City Associates building. The renovation calls <br />for first floor retail with entrances to the retail <br />shops cut into the north wall of the building. <br />Also, CCA is currently renovating the west <br />facade of the building. <br />The Morris Civic Theatre closed down at the <br />end of the year to begin renovation in early <br />1998. Financing for the project will be <br />completed in February or March 1998. <br />We started renovation of the facade of the <br />State Theatre. This will be completed in <br />spring of 1998. <br />Amy Tweeten and Joanna Smith prepared the <br />East Bank parking study and the Council <br />expanded the parking exempt zone in the East <br />Bank to allow for more development in the <br />East Bank using shared parking. <br />We are moving forward on acquiring the <br />quarter block at Main and Jefferson for new <br />Class A office development. <br />The Bankruptcy Court opened in late March <br />1997. <br />Amy Tweeten is continuing to work with <br />Center City Associates on the Vision 2020 <br />planning process.
