South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - December 19, 1997
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
r. continued....
do exist downtown. I think the plans that I
had presented to the Commission at the
last meeting showed some of the square
footage issues and if that would be
retained, this particular building is a four -
story building and again it does have
masonry on the Jefferson facade. It is only
22 lineal feet of frontage off ...right off the
alley on Jefferson. One of the other issues,
I guess, in hearing Jon Hunt's
presentation, I would like to ask a question
regarding the remaining portion of the
block or that whole ... not just the quarter
block but that entire block, "Is that
considered blighted ?"
ANNE BRUNEEL: No, Jon Hunt and the
Commission, for the record there is a
pending remonstrance in St. Joseph
County Superior Court and I'm going to
advise my client not to answer that
particular question.
GREG KIL: Regarding the remaining
block and maybe if I could have Exhibit A
exposed so that I could point to the quarter
block. (tape ran out) ... for skirting the mid -
block alley, retaining of size of...was
developed. Is that something that has been
considered.
JON HUNT: If the attorney feels that I
shouldn't say anything, I won't. If you're
comfortable....
F:\IiOME\ CPHIPPS \WPDATA \COMMSN\I21997.MIN -43-
