Commissioner Molnar (AYE): I vote in the affirmative on the motion to deny the application — I
do applaud the applicant for their efforts to use appropriate materials but we need a little more
detail on the condition of the original windows. •
Commissioner Gordon (AYE): I vote in the affirmative on the motion to deny the application
based upon the condition of the original windows and, having determined that, going forward with
any replacement as needed.
Commissioner Hertel (AYE): I vote in the affirmative on the motion to deny the application due
to the unknown condition of the current windows, if they could be repaired over replaced, and due
to the lack of documentation as to the specific windows that were intended to be replaced.
Commissioner Anderson (AYE): I vote in the affirmative on the motion to deny the application
due to the lack of representation by owner and contractor, the documentation of the current
windows and if they are able to be restored, and documentation of the exact replacements including
sizes and also the retaining of surrounding material, and I do applaud the applicant and appreciate
the work towards preserving the building, and would personally lean towards the Quaker Classic
Fit series with the aluminum muntins.
Commissioner Bonham (NAY): I vote nay on the motion to deny the application, as I think that
they have put forth a good application here — I think there are some questions, but I think those — I
would recommend that the applicant work with staff to get a little more clarity, but I believe there
is enough here. I would vote `no.'
Commissioner Canada (AYE): I vote in the affirmative on the motion to deny the application, I
would like more information specifically the Quaker window. I also would like more information •
about replacing the vinyl windows that are there. I am very happy that the applicant did take the
initiative — you started somewhere, and sometimes the first step is the toughest. We are all willing
to work with you, and we have a great staff to help.
Commissioner Fisher (AYE): I vote in the affirmative on the motion to deny the application,
although I would support the replacement of the non -original windows with the Quaker product, I
think could use a more detailed application and a little more information about what could be done
with the original windows.
Six in favor, one opposed.
Vote: 6 —1.
