CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS <br />1. 814 Forest Avenue COA# 2017-1120 #9574-05 Chapin Park <br />Representation: Joseph Segura <br />STAFF REPORT <br />CONCERNING APPLICATION FOR A <br />CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS <br />Date: 6 December 2017 <br />Application Number: 2017-1120 <br />Property Location: 814 Forest Avenue <br />Architectural Style/Date/Architect or Builder: Gable -front / 1880 <br />Property Owner: Joseph Segura <br />Landmark or District Designation: Chapin Park Local and National Historic District , Ordinance #9574-05 <br />Rating: Contributing <br />DESCRIPTION OF STRUCTURE/SITE: This 1 '/z story frame house sets upon a concrete block foundation facing west onto <br />Forest Avenue. The roof is hip on gable, with hip roof dormer on the north side and asphalt shingles. The structure has as an <br />exterior chimney at the rear of the house as well as a central interior chimney. In the front of the structure is a half -width front <br />porch with turned wood supports and moulded cornice. The exterior is covered in wood clapboard with corner board and a <br />moulded cornice. The windows are orginal wood 1/1 double hung on the second story and 6/6 double hung in the front on the <br />ground floor. A single oval window is at the south west corner on the ground floor. Two 4 -light casements are on the North <br />• fagade. All windows have moulded entabulatures. Aluminum storm windows are present on the second story. <br />
