Elicia Feasel
4om: Velvet Canada <velvet@matthewsllc.com>
nt: Tuesday, December 11, 2018 6:40 PM
To: Elicia Feasel
Cc: tedwardgordon@aol.com; mgelfman@nd.edu; fisherg46@gmail.com; Adam Toering;
Tim Corcoran; Sandra Kennedy
Subject: Follow up Leeper Park Standards and Guidelines Committee
Just to follow up on today's meeting about parks standards and what we came up with:
1. We have general guidelines titles laid out based off of examples from other guidelines
2. We have selected specific items that are of historic significance for Leeper Park.
Items that need to be done to more forward since we all kinda had to leave and didn't really get to touch on this. (Please
feel free to add anything I missed)
1. Propose staff starts a rough draft of writing up the general guide lines and then specifics for the parks.
2. Committee members would like to see more examples other than the boston example ours was based on.
3. Committee meets again once rough draft is started to review and compare to other examples that have been found.
Legal and procedural questions after our meeting today.
1. If the Leeper park additional guidelines were never properly adopted by the board (this being found out after
search) then should they even be a part of the standards and guidelines. It not, how do we address this at our next
eeting?
2. What are the steps to revising and/or adopting and/or adding new guidelines and standards? This still seems to be
an unanswered question as we mover forward. it would just be nice to have a step by step of what needs to be done.
3. Who needs to be notified about changes?
Please feel free to add other notes or comments that I might have missed.
Thanks,
- Velvet Canada
Project Manager/Designer
(979) 739-2640
Velvet@MatthewsLLC.com
www.MatthewsLLC.com
On Wed, Nov 21, 2018 at 3:57 PM Elicia Feasel <efeasel@south bend in.gov> wrote:
Please provide suggested edits to your section by December 3.
•
9.1 and 9.2 Elicia
