Neighbor Fence
Specific goal:
We wish to install a privacy fence and berm along the north side of our property line.
History:
We have met with our neighbors and in the spirit of being neighborly, we have come to a mutual idea of
blocking our driveway headlights and parking area activity from view for our neighbor's benefit. This
also suits us as we feel guilty driving onto the property, exposing the neighbor's living room to the
flood -of -headlights. rtithough we suggest to our guests to park perpendicular so as to minimize this, we
feel the better long-term solution would be the visual barrier. We also wish to extend it west to aid our
other neighbor since our patio is so close to their home as well, to assist in any sound control as well.
We will yield to zoning and HPC guidelines for setbacks, height restrictions, etc.
Plan:
We envision 6' tall fence, dog-ear stockade panels of 6' length, and able to cover the length of the at -
risk exposures. We are also considering a berm to maximize it's profile and enhance landscaping in
that area. Shade tolerant plantings already in the area would be supplemented as needed, but the area is
mostly wooded and somewhat obscured. We envision juniper or other evergreen to break up the lone
visual of a long fence line, although again, it is mostly wooded area and nicely obscured.
Timing:
This project would be initiated right after COA approval.
Drive-in trajectory of headlights Proposed fence line
