HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />PRESERVATION SPECIALIST REPORT <br />March 20, 2017 <br />Hello Commission! <br />Projects started without COAs/RMEs/Permits: <br />1344 E Wayne South -Roof (No RME yet miscommunication between owner and <br />contractor -contractor had appointment with staff and failed to show) <br />918-920 Leland -Soffits and Gutters <br />Updates: <br />918-920 Leland -Update: RME for Soffits and Gutters <br />917 Leland -Fire damage. Met with new owner and helped with a plan of necessary RME, <br />COA and building department permits to secure structure and begin repairs <br />Code Hearing: <br />721 LWE- exterior repairs to roof, windows, and landscaping by August of $500 civil <br />penalty. This is also the owner of the Birdsell. The hearing officer wanted to make the <br />owner aware the property would be next for hearing. <br />Just a final reminder: <br />I will be presenting the hands-on workshop at the State's Preservation Conference, April <br />2017 in Wabash. The topic will be wood floors. I will be having a Power Point <br />presentation followed by a hands-on repair and use of sanding equipment.
