Maurus and his wife, Mary. <br />Edward was a professor of mathematics, science, and engineering at Notre Dame. <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br />The Owners propose to add a second floor over the back porch addition. The back porch <br />addition is not part of the original structure. The ridge of the new addition will align with <br />the existing house ridge and will not be visible from the street. <br />The original house details will be used for the addition. <br />Program: <br />Basement: <br />Add a bathroom to the basement level. See Plans <br />First Floor: <br />Update kitchen and add mudroom where the exterior porch currently is located. <br />Second Floor: <br />Add a Master Suite over the Porch. See Plans. <br />Materials: <br />Siding: Match existing painted wood shingles. <br />Trim: Painted wood to match <br />Doors and windows: Match double hung windows with mullion, and scale of existing <br />windows- trim to match existing. see elevations <br />NOTE: Proposed skylight to be added at SOUTHWEST side of new gable to allow light <br />to enter stair hall. <br />Roof. Architectural composition shingles to match existing roof. Eave and gable rake <br />details to match existing house. <br />
