HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />PRESERVATION SPECIALIST REPORT <br />February 27, 2017 <br />Hello Commission! <br />Not too much to report this month. The weather has been playing tricks on us. <br />More projects started without COAs/RMEs/Permits <br />314 Lamont Terrace (roof) <br />813 Park Ave (windows) <br />1206 E Wayne (chimney) <br />918-920 Leland (Soffits/Gutters) <br />Only one code hearing for 918-920 Leland -60 days to make repairs. I had met the crew in <br />November and discussed what would be permitted through HPC. <br />Only one code hearing for March at this point: 721 Lincoln Way East <br />I will be presenting the hands-on workshop at the State's Preservation Conference, April <br />2017 in Wabash. The topic will be wood floors. I will be having a Power Point <br />presentation followed by a hands-on repair and use of sanding equipment. Two of our city landmarks have been sold or are in the closing process. <br />920 W Washington and 644 Monroe (Edgewater Place) I have met with both new owners <br />and they are excited about owning and living in these beautiful pieces of our local <br />history. <br />Steve Szaday <br />Preservation Specialist <br />
