I can assure you that HPC Staff is doing our best to convey your <br />projects accurately and with adequate detail for the Commission to render its decision. <br />In drafting the Staff Report for COA 2017-0807A (the current application) and finalizing Staff Approvals from COA 2017-0706 <br />(following the conditional approval); we are not clear on many points where there are inconsistencies between the <br />application jtems and site plan, or that more detail is needed. It is the Historic Preservation Commission's policy not to add -- <br />applications that do not include complete documentation to the public hearing agendas (see attached, pgs 2-q and <br />i htto://sjcindiana.com/777/COA-Form ). After deliberating the details that are inconsistent and/or missing, I am willing to <br />:. include this application on the August 21 agenda set for the board but must receive the necessary documentation/clarity by <br />August 16 at 8:30 am (prior to the public posting of the agenda). <br />Please see below for list of needed documentation (either to clarify discrepancies or to provide needed specifications): <br />1. Windows <br />-Proposed states, "Anderson 200 Series". Product specification provided is for Crestline. Please confirm which is being <br />applied for. <br />-Approval was previously giver' to replace windows that match the size of the current openings, Proposed large picture <br />window with two windows. Please specify size of two new double -hung windows: Will there b&a,mullpn'(trim piece) in - <br />between the two windows? <br />2. Garage <br />-Proposed states, "extend the roof over a new 6' porch on the west side.." Site plan depicts a V-10' single slope covered <br />porch on south side. Please confirm which is being applied for. If south side is proposed, an elevation is required, particularly <br />to convey the roof extension. <br />-Please confirm that the south facing windows remain in their existing location with door in between; if new location of <br />windows is proposed, please include on elevation. <br />-Staff is assuming that the half round window above existing garage door will be retained; please advise if other alternative <br />is proposed. <br />3. Fencing <br />-Proposed states, "Sierra _Pacific 8' Dog -Eared Cedar Fence Picket, to be constructed with treated 2x4, 4x4 posts and two <br />swinging gates of.the same construction". COA 2017-0706 approved fence under following condition: 6' wood privacy fence ! <br />on east, west, and north sides; fence on south side to be less than 6' tall in a style with spaces between the pickets. Site <br />plan notes 6' Richmond WHITE VINYL privacy fence on east and north sides, 8' dog eared fence on west side, 4' open white <br />picket -vinyl fenc,eronsouth sid�A entry gate is shown on site plan on east and south sides. The proposed is not qualified <br />for staff approval as the material has been substituted from wood (previously approved) to vinyl and west fence is proposed <br />2' taller than approved. As such, this application item requires board review. Please provide product specification and <br />photograph of Richmond white vinyl fence, both privacy and open picket. Please provide an elevation of south fence design. <br />4. Alley Entry i <br />-Please provide elevation to convey the alterations. at is p oposed de and stair material?
