Special Meeting of the Historic Presservation Commission — Historic Landmarks Committee: <br />Further Review for Local Landmark Recommendation <br />Elbel House — 806 Leland Avenue <br />• The Historic Landmarks Committee, in accordance with Open Door Policy met on Wednesday <br />July 13`h, 2016 at noon. <br />• Quorum was sustained as 4 committee members were present. Members in attendance <br />included: <br />-Kevin Buccellato (committee chair) <br />-Elizabeth Hertel <br />-Jennifer Parker (joined the meeting after the first motion and vote) <br />Timothy Klusczinski <br />• 3 Motions were made and voted upon: <br />o Motion 1: Corroborate the rating of the Elbe[ House as "contributing" as listed in the <br />2005 City of South Bend Sites and Structures Inventory. <br />Motion 1 passed unanimously with a (3-0) vote. <br />*Tim recommended reevaluating the rating at a later date <br />o Motion 2: Accept criteria and adopt the staff report <br />Recommendation based on 3 criteria: <br />• Historic and Cultural Significance <br />• Educational Value <br />• Suitability for preservation <br />Motion 2 passed unanimously with a (4-0) vote. <br />o Motion 3: Favorable Recommendation to the Historic Preservation Commission (as a <br />whole) That the Elbel House be approved for the Second Reading. <br />Motion 3 passed unanimously with a (4-0) vote. <br />
