Historic Preservation Commission President's Report — July 18th, 2016 • 06/20/2016 7P: HPC Monthly Meeting (County -City Building; Room 1308). • 06/22/2016 11:00A: Staff meeting (HPC Offices). Collaborate on HPC PowerPoint presentation with Director Feasel. Subject includes an overview of the HPC, its structure, mission and activities at the requests of Tim Scott — President South Bend Common Council and Raphael Morton President St. Joseph County Council. 06/27/2016 3:30P: "HPC Overview" (Common Council Conference Room; County=City Bldg.). Deliver HPC PowerPoint presentation (with Director Feasel) at the Common Council Zoning & Annexation Committee meeting.. Distributed complimentary copies of survey books, CLG Audit report, HPC informational and promotional materials. Others in attendance: Todd Zeiger — Director Northern Regional Office; Indiana Landmarks and Deb Parcel — Deputy Director HPC. Council/Committee members were provided with complimentary copies of survey books, CLG Audit report, misc. HPC information and promotional materials. 06/27/2016 7P: Bill 27-16 Kizer House Local Landmark Designation (41h Floor Chambers; County -City Bldg.). Attended Council session for 2nd 'and 3rd Readings of the Kizer bill. Common Council unanimously adopts the Kizer landmark ordinance! 06/28/2016 5:15P: Chance meeting with Randy Wilkerson — Director of Code Enforcement. Provided an update on the condition of the property at 417 W. Navarre St. Discussed new storm window damage and vegetation overgrowth. Randy proposed a Code Enforcement training session at the site and asked that I send him an email reminder after the holiday weekend. • 06/28/2016 5:30P: "HPC Overview" (County Council Conference Room; County - City Bldg.). HPC information and promotional materials. • 06/28/2016: Following the Council presentation, I reported to HPC Director Feasel that I saw large interior window sashes (with cut sash cord) on the tree lawn at 601 Park Avenue. • 06/29/2016: Sent email to Elicia showing more sashes at 601 Park Avenue tree lawn. Also sent email to Randy Wilkerson — Code (copied HPC staff) included site images of 417 W. Navarre, detailing broken windows, pried boardup material (North porch window), and condition of landscape vegetation. When returning I moved two large interior window sashes from tree lawn at 601 Park Avenue
