1. Location Report — Distributed. Discussion of budget approval, and time frame for <br />approval of out -of -line transfers. Executive Director Feasel answered inquiries <br />about accident involving HPC car, and related insurance payout and repairs. <br />C. STAFF REPORTS <br />1. Correspondence — Circulated. <br />2. Executive Director — In Packet. <br />3. Deputy Director — In Packet. <br />4. Preservation Specialist — Distributed. <br />5. Legal — Eric Boyd appeal of COA application denial. Common Council has put <br />that on their schedule and issued series of deadlines for submittal of materials; <br />appeal will be heard at their meeting on December 12. Commissioner Hertel <br />questioned if Commissioner Molnar's position in the Clerk's office would be a <br />potential conflict of interest in this case, but it was determined not to be. <br />Commissioner Voll asked for update on action being taken regarding window <br />replacement at Tippecanoe Place. President Klusczinski clarified that HPC defers <br />to the Building Department as our enforcement agency to put pressure on the <br />building owners. Also, Indiana Landmarks has had some contact with the owners <br />in an attempt to enforce their interior and exterior facade easement. He is <br />confident that things will eventually be resolved in a satisfactory manner, with our <br />partners, Indiana Landmarks. <br />D. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />1. President — Distributed. Commissioner Gordon questioned November 15 meeting <br />between County Auditor, Mike Hammond, and County Council President, Rafael <br />Morton, regarding HPC county vs. city activities. Also, inquired about status of letter of <br />findings on Dave Matthews project. Staff findings submitted to HPC for endorsement. <br />Determination made by HPC to refrain from making a public statement at this time. <br />2. Indiana Bicentennial — As the state Bicentennial year reaches its conclusion, <br />Chairman Hertel applauded work of Executive Director Feasel and the way she <br />represented HPC in coordinating virtually all Bicentennial activities in the past year. <br />3. Public Relations and Community Education — Executive Director Feasel requested <br />any photos taken at Preservation Awards event be shared with staff so they can be added <br />to the Drop Box file. <br />V. OLD BUSINESS — none <br />A. MLK Street Renaming — Commissioner Gordon questioned status of Martin Luther <br />King, Jr. Street renaming. Commissioner Molnar stated committee recommendations <br />have been made, but it is currently stalled until the City Council or Mayor takes action. <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. PRESERVATION SPECIALIST 2017 CONTRACT — Few minor legal language changes <br />made to existing contract. Commissioner Gelfman moved to approve Preservation Specialist <br />Inspector Services contract beginning January 1, 2017. Seconded by Commissioner Hertel. <br />Vote: 8-0. <br />B. 2017 HPC MEETING AND COA DATES — January and February HPC meetings moved <br />to fourth Monday of month to avoid county -scheduled holidays; deadline days in those <br />months would move to the second Monday. 2017 meetings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.; if <br />9 <br />
