I measured the existing marks on the brick from when there was a railing, and it was <br />about 36 inches. The railing that I have found that I like the looks of best measures 33 inches from top <br />rail to bottom, so when the poles are in place between each piece, the overall height will be, top to <br />bottom, 36 inches.
