The roof has a high hip with hip <br />roof dormers covered in asphalt shingles. The front porch is enclosed on the east and open on the west <br />side. The windows are 1/1 double hung with wood surrounds. <br />ALTERATIONS: The attic windows are replacements with COA 2005- 0118B. A mudroom was added <br />to the rear of the home with COA 2006 -0627. The roof is a replacement. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: Back yard: 1) Remove large Ash tree; 2) Install l Ox2Ox4.5 fiberglass <br />swimming pool; 3) Replace existing patio, extend patio around pool w/brick patio pavers; 4) Repair <br />existing garage structure, replace roof & aluminum siding with wood siding or stucco, and paint to match <br />house; 5) Extend roofline of garage to create a 6 ft. awning for a covered patio. Front yard: 1) Install <br />small brick retaining wall similar in size and appearance to 1041 and 1021 Riverside Dr. Brick to match <br />chimney brick as close as possible. House: 1) Install 4 porch lights; 2) Roof <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: Homeowner proposes to do the following: <br />Back Yard: 1) Remove very large Ash tree from back yard. It is susceptible to disease, and is currently <br />being treated with pesticides, which the homeowners would like to discontinue. It also poses potential <br />hazard to this and the neighboring property if limbs or the entire tree were to come down in a storm. City <br />Forester Brent Thompson says it is the homeowners' decision to have the tree removed. AEP stated the <br />homeowner is responsible for keeping the power lines clear of limbs and branches. The tree will be <br />replaced with an approved species. 2) Install in ground 1 O'x2O'x4.5' fiberglass swimming pool. 3) <br />Replace existing patio and extend around pool with Hollandstone "Rustic Red" patio pavers. 4) Garage — <br />remove aluminum siding, replace with 6" wood clapboard siding painted to match house. Re -roof, same <br />as house. 5) Add 6' "awning ", or extend roof of garage to create a covered patio. (see attached photos) <br />Front Yard: 1) Install 2' retaining wall in front yard starting at concrete steps and running across the lawn <br />on both sides of steps. (see attached Unilock spec sheet) <br />House: 1) Install low profile motion - detected security light for driveway.
