Legal Affairs — None. <br />3. Indiana Bicentennial — Update on Geocache St. Joseph County and St. Joseph <br />County Committee. <br />4. Deputy Director Search —None. <br />5. Historic Landmarks — Expects to meet within next two weeks. <br />V. OLD BUSINESS —None. <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Chapin Street Renaming— Discussion supporting the residents in local and national register <br />districts street names because we should have a tribute to founding members of the city which <br />should not be lost, as well as support of a fitting tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King's importance to <br />the community. <br />On a motion by Tim Klusczinski with a second by Michele Gelfman, to direct the executive <br />director to draft a letter of support for a significant tribute to Dr. King and the founding members <br />of this community on streets. Vote 7 - 0. Unanimous. Letter to be sent to Historic Preservation <br />Commission in advance. <br />VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS <br />A. Tim Klusczinski moves to ratify executive director's authority and choice in selecting what I <br />believe to be a very competent deputy director to assist staff and represent this commission <br />board in the public on a day to day basis with a second by Jennifer Parker. Vote: 7 — 0. <br />Unanimous. <br />B. 115 Lafayette — Code hearing scheduled for Thursday, March 31, 1:30 pm <br />C. Leeper Park — A meeting is scheduled at Madison School Tuesday, March 22, 5:30 pm <br />VIII.
