Historic Preservation Commission President's Report — May 18th, 2015 • 04/20/2015: HPC Monthly Meeting (Rm 1308) • 04/21/2015: Discussion of Legal Affairs Committee revision (staff job description) with Queenie Evans - Director Human Resources for St. Joseph County. She clarified HPC departmental responsibilites and passed along compliments for the work with an offer to assist us in meeting our goals. 05/01/2015 11A: Previewed "Building South Bend: Past, Present & Future" by Historic Urban Environments/ND. Extensive presentation of the SB150 exhibit by Jennifer Parker — Head, Architectural Library, Adam Heet - Digital Projects Specialist, Architecture Library, and Viveca Pattison Robichaud, Special Collections Librarian. I was joined by Elicia Feasel — Deputy Director, Wayne Doolittle, and Greg Kit. We received an incredible behind -the -scenes tour of all elements related to the project (3D modeling, phone app, website, Oculus Rift', and Forensic Analysis of photographic materials). o I wish to commend the HPC staff for its enormous efforts and contribution to this project and especially Elicia Feasel — Deputy Director, for her part in managing so many of its critical elements. This entire initiative is not only cutting-edge in its own right, but promises to inspire continual growth, expansion and duplication around the globe. I am personally proud to call the HPC one among the short list of those who participated in such an accomplishment. • Ms. Parker was also kind enough to allow her guests priveleged access to the rare books collection in the School of Architecture for a tutorial on early pattern books and manuscripts dating back as far as the Renaissance. She called it: "Getting Intimate with [Vincenzo] Scamozzi. " Outstanding! 05/09/2015: Assist Code Enforcement representative with an emergency board up at 417 W. Navarre St. We re -secured the exterior, basement entry.
