I will be unable to autend <br />this hearing, and therefore am submitting this letter for the Hearing record <br />in lieu of a personal appearance. <br />The above referenced building has been identified by the Landmarks Committee <br />of the HPC as historically significant as a rare Foursquare type dwelling <br />constructed entirely in concrete block. As such it has been proposed for <br />designation as a Local Landmark. The first reading of this proposal was on the <br />agenda of the October meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission. The <br />Public He on this nomination is scheduled for the next meeting of the HPC <br />which is scheduled for November 18. <br />The principal purpose of this letter is to notify you that the structure is <br />under consideration for Local Land,ark status and request that you continue <br />the consideration of the proposed demolition until after the commission has <br />had opportunity to complete its consideration of this matter. <br />I would also note that this nomination is not new but was proposed early in <br />the year, its consideration having been delayed by a transfer of ownership <br />which required delay for proper notification. <br />Yours truly, <br />John Oxian - president, HPC <br />CC: David B.
